Academics
Through the Arts
Standards-aligned instruction and hands-on creativity come together through performance and workshop learning, blending the arts and academics into a dynamic experience designed to develop the skills and confidence 3rd–8th grade students need to succeed in the classroom.
CreatED Imaginarium is an arts-integrated, service-learning field trip experience designed to ignite curiosity, creativity, and leadership in students. Hosted at Jacksonville Arts & Music School (JAMS), Imaginarium is an immersive creative lab where students explore visual art, music, theatre, dance, writing, and design through hands-on, future-focused activities.
Students begin their day with an engaging live performance that brings storytelling to life and reinforces themes like perseverance, literacy, and personal growth. Designed to align with Florida ELA standards, each performance sparks imagination while strengthening language skills, comprehension, and critical thinking.
From there, students step into interactive workshops in theatre and visual arts, where learning moves from observation to action. Through hands-on creation and collaboration, they deepen their understanding of story elements, build communication skills, and practice creative problem-solving alongside their peers.
